When do we collect personal information?
Pet Chat Expert is provided by Vetsdirect Limited and offers Pet Plan Insurance Policyholders access to our remote Petcare services, from our customer portal accessed via the Policy Holder logging into the Pet Plan portal.
We collect minimal information on the pet owner, name, policy number, which has already been verified via the pet owner logging into the Pet Plan My Member area.
We may confirm or ask for a phone number, in case we get cut off and an email address if the policyholder wishes to receive any fact sheets from Vetsdirect Limited. The data we then collect is relating to the pet in question. This information is name, breed, sex, medication, age and weight and the presenting signs of any health issue. Further information is then provided by Vetsdirect Limited in terms of triage outcome advice and next steps.
What information do we collect and why?
All of the above information is collected to enable the Vetsdirect veterinary team to provide help, support and triage services, with the primary aim of helping and keeping pets safe and to enabling pet owners to understand their pets better.
Do we share you information?
No, we do not share information to any party other than Pet Plan whom we share management information relating to the interactions by policyholders with Pet Chat Expert including the presenting signs and triage outcomes of our interactions.
